In many cities of Europe - Amsterdam, Monaco of Bavaria, Barcelona, Dublin and many more - brownfield sites have been intended for production space and accommodation for young artists, The employees of creativity and knowledge. A Bologna, where many brownfield sites are waiting for a new use, would be possible to do the same. It is important that the public administration, at both national and regional, you face interpreter requests from cultural organizations and temporary workers in the city.

This called for a project that I presented a couple of years ago but to our Public Administration, unfortunately, never saw the light. Evidently the time was not ripe yet, or it had to happen what happened and that the earthquake that affected our region, to bring to light a tangible and urgent need (the need for new places to accommodate people) and back on the consciences; to take over-so much more depth and 2.0- the ever-present issue of the reuse of disused urban spaces.

I am indeed very happy to talk, This Week, of Map 4 Emilia, the Wiki mapping of unused buildings in Emilia Romagna for the redevelopment of existing assets. “Unfortunately, many governments do not have a complete list of these facilities on its territory, for which it is necessary in the shortest time possible to construct a mapping from the bottom, namely that if an activity carried on by thousands of people to each requires a little effort, but that in the complex may lead to a great result” explain the project blog, through which can be send recommendations and contributions (but do not forget that there is also a handy app). [in the]possible living is a start up website dedicated to abandoned buildings around the world. Provides services at the local level to raise, discuss and, potentially, solve problems in a creative way to reactivate these spaces unused.

Together with the team Hubbol, in search of a location in which to develop their business, Architecture and Studio Ciclostile, was held last Saturday the[in the]possible tour -a real turn in the saddle to the discovery of suitable venues for the birth of this first “incubator”, but we hope it's just the first of a series of riding a bicycle towns in order to map regions that may be less known but no less noble or usable, going to hit upon quell'angolino that no one would think, but which could be brought back to its former glory, to new uses, retraining course, everything around you.

The energy of all let you create a mapping, not only of buildings, but also of the sensations, problems, issues related to that place.

Thanks . Claudio
